Welcome to Troop
1699 of the Boy Scouts of America. Troop 1699 is a member of North Trails District,
Detroit Area Council. We serve the youths of Franklin Community, Bingham Farms Elementary
School Pack 1049, West Maple Elementary School Pack 1214, Berkshire Junior High
School, Birmingham Covington School, Birmingham Groves High School, Birmingham Seaholm
High School and Brother Rice High School. It is our mission to help boys become
self-reliant men who live by the Scout Law. Our goal is to help instill character,
citizenship, and physical, mental, emotional and moral fitness. We achieve these
goals by using the Scouting methods.

Our mission is to help instill
in your son character, citizenship, and physical, mental, emotional and moral fitness.
We achieve these aims by using the Scouting method which is explained in the
Parent Handbook. Of the many new opportunities for your son, we believe that Scouting
can be a strong, positive influence on a boy's growth toward adulthood. Traditionally,
the Boy Scouts of America have fostered a strong program of values and accomplishment,
wherein a boy cultivates a sense of ethics, citizenship, and duty in the company
of like-minded boys and adult leaders. As he grows in learning to establish goals
and achieve them, he benefits from the leadership and support of others who encourage
him in his in his endeavors. The scouting program is unique from other organized
youth activities. It develops our youths' leadership skills; something they can draw
on during their lifetime. Planning, gaining knowledge, and enjoying the activities
that our sons choose are the fruits of Scouting.
Troop 1699 is an active "boy-run" troop. Our Troop offers many
opportunities for you to influence your son's growth in a positive way. We look
forward to helping your son grow into a strong, self-reliant man who lives by the
Scout Law. A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient,
cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. If you have any questions, please
feel free to contact our Scoutmaster.
